The pictures of the dead body of Sushant Singh Rajput were circulated on media and social media by 5 pm IST on 14th June 2020. A video (with 3 edits/cuts) from the crime scene was also leaked which showed many people in the room, the body being covered with a sheet and distraught sister instructed not to touch anything. There was a deep red, regular, uniform and O-shaped ligature mark on the neck that was inconsistent with the green cloth seen hanging from a fan (not visible in the video) and points towards strangulation. There were needle marks which were later confirmed to be stun gun/taser gun marks by forensic experts. The lack of other signs of hanging like protruding eyes, tongue, secretion of bodily fluids. There was a green bathrobe placed neatly on the edge of the bed, that was supposedly used to try hanging but broke. The second green cloth that can be seen in the video is said to be a kurta from Fab India. It is seen hanging half way through the bed after the staff member, Siddharth Pithani claimed to have used a knife and cut it (above neck) to bring the body down single-handedly. The distance between the fan and the mattress was said to be 5'11", while the height of Sushant was said to be 5'10" (178 cm), wikipedia and all other website in the internet were changed to match this figure, which was proved to be wrong. Sushant's height was 183 cm/6" as the family, fitness trainer and he himself mentioned in many interviews.
